Meet Kevin McCarthy, the founder of Launchpad Sports and a former Player Development Coach with the Toronto Blue Jays. His experience at the professional level informs everything he brings to the table—blending high-level insight with a practical, athlete-first coaching style.
Since 2016, Kevin has served as head coach of the UNB Varsity Reds baseball program, leading the team to five league championships in seven seasons. He’s also coached at the national level, helping Baseball New Brunswick earn a silver medal at the U15 Nationals.
Kevin holds certifications from Driveline Baseball and Rapsodo in both pitching and hitting. He specializes in using data-driven tools and video feedback to help athletes improve their mechanics, approach, and confidence on the field.

Max Grant

Max Grant joins the Launchpad coaching team following an elite NCAA Division I career with Canisius University and the University of Alabama. A former member of the Canadian Junior National Team and graduate of the Vauxhall Academy, Max brings a decorated playing background and deep knowledge of the game to every session.
His accolades include MAAC Player of the Year, two-time NCAA D1 Second Team All-American, Canisius Athlete of the Year, and New Brunswick Athlete of the Year.
Max enjoys working with players of all ages and believes there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to hitting—every athlete moves and thinks differently, and great coaching reflects that.

Meet Coach Zach O'Hara, the “Swiss Army Knife” of Launchpad Sports. As a 2023 All-Star and standout player for the UNB Reds, Zach’s game is fluent from fielding to hitting. His comprehensive understanding of baseball comes from his versatile playing experience and dedication to continuous learning.
Zach’s evidence-based coaching methods are shaped by his experiences at Santa Barbara City College and Baseball New Brunswick. Following Coach Kevin's lead, Zach is one of the few Driveline Certified coaches in Atlantic Canada, enhancing his ability to work with hitters of all levels.

Adam Estey

Adam's sporting resume is impressive, featuring a U15 National Silver medal where he was also named Team MVP, the title of 2015 NB Player of the Year, and consistent selection for Team NB and the T12 showcase at Rogers Center. His leadership extended beyond the diamond, serving as captain for the Leo Hayes High School Hockey team, leading them to three consecutive provincial championships.
As a coach, Adam's philosophy centers around creating an engaging and productive environment, focusing on the individual's goals and fostering a natural, comfortable playing style. His emphasis is on practical improvement, ensuring each athlete leaves with actionable insights.
Craig Oliver

Craig Oliver's baseball journey is a testament to dedication and perseverance. A 2023 NB Senior Baseball All-Star Second Baseman and 2024 ECC Regular Season Champion, Craig is a D’Youville Saint graduate with extensive expertise in hitting and fielding.
Craig’s coaching philosophy focuses on efficient hitting with hard contact and the importance of patience both in the batter’s box and in maintaining a strong mental approach. Having been a late bloomer himself, Craig's path to college baseball in the United States showcases his belief that hard work pays off for those truly dedicated to the game.
